Job Description

The System Architect - Citrix is a key role on the Citrix team that, under the direction of the Citrix technical lead, assists in making key technical decisions about what our Citrix install needs today, and helps create and implement the vision for what our Citrix install should be over the next 3-5 years and beyond.

More generally stated, this position is intended as the entry level in ascending to the Sr. Systems Architect and Architect Specialist roles. As such, the Systems Architect also participates in the design and implementation of in-house and vendor provided information systems/applications, technologies and networked software architectures that support MemorialCare's core organizational functions. Systems Architects have proven and previous working knowledge and experience in areas of systems integration (interfacing), programming languages, operating systems, servers, and storage and networking technologies. Individuals work under direct supervision from more senior Information Technology directors and staff; also participating with other technical team members to evaluate select and maintain specific systems and technologies required to support MemorialCare's information management portfolio.

Experience

* 3 or more years working with Citrix strongly preferred.


* More than 5 years relevant technical work experience, specifically developing specialized systems and architecture plans.


* In-depth technical knowledge of core MemorialCare enterprise systems/technologies, including Epic, Citrix, Windows Server, Windows 7/10, VMWare, etc.


* Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.


* Proven experience in systems, network, integration design and development.


* Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices.


* Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards.


* Strong knowledge of software evaluation principles and practices.


* Proven project planning and leadership experience.

Education

* College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science/engineering or information systems preferred.


* Relevant Citrix certifications (Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V), Citrix Certified Professional - Networking (CCP-N) preferred).


* Other technical certifications a plus (e.g. Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA-Hyperspace), VMWare).
