Job Description

PURPOSE of POSITION:

The Systems Architect designs, implements, and maintains the organization's application systems and/or IT infrastructure. The Systems Architect provides an architectural framework for information system development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts and understands user and process requirements and ensure those requirements can be achieved through high quality deliverables. The Systems Architect works closely with Developers and Engineers to develop road maps for applications, align development plans, and ensures effective integration among information systems and the IT infrastructure. The Systems Architect monitors technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards as well as emerging business requirements. The Systems Architect understands the interactions between systems, applications, and services within the environment, and evaluates the impact of changes or additions accordingly.

The Systems Architect analyzes systems and performs usability testing to ensure performance and reliability, enhance scalability, and meet security requirements. The Systems Architect requires a moderate skill set and developing proficiency within discipline. The Systems Architect conducts tasks and assignments as directed and works under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. 40%: Works closely with Developers and Engineers to develop road maps for applications, align development plans, and ensures effective integration among information systems and the IT infrastructure.

2. 30%: Monitors technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards as well as emerging business requirements.

3. 30%: Analyzes systems and performs usability testing to ensure performance and reliability, enhance scalability, and meet security requirements. Evaluates the impact of changes or additions between systems, applications, and services within the environment.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree

relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Related Work Experience: 4-6 years

Individual Contributor

This position is an individual contributor and has no supervisory responsibilities. Provides functional expertise through day-to-day work tasks. Works under the supervision of management.
