Job Description

Responsible for the day to day operations of the Windows operating environment.

* Manage server backups and remediation of system vulnerabilities to include STIG compliance
* Maintain the integrity and security of servers and systems
* Sets up administrator and service accounts
* Maintain system documentation
* Interact with users and evaluates vendor products
* Analyze requirements for deployment of new desktop applications
* Create deployment plans and automation processes for new applications
* Desktop Image creation and validation using System Center Configuration Manager
* Maintain updated drive packs for various hardware vendors including Dell and HP
* Oversee implementation of testing strategies and documentation of results
* Provide advice and training to end-users and help desk personnel
* Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
* Participate in special projects as required
* Self-starter and ability to work tasks with little supervision or assistance
* Proactively identify issues and resolve and make suggestions for improvements to the environment
* Troubleshoot issues to resolution with customer impacting issues being priority and worked on until completion
* Monthly maintenance work required, as well as after-hours support for customer impacting issues, as required with little to no advanced notice

Education

BA/BS

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and 10 years of demonstrated experience or a Master's degree and 8 years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirements.
