Responsibilities:

* Primary duties developing and maintaining several the virtualized environments, viewing and responding to events reflected in the various management tools, server patch management, attending various meetings (team, staff, change, configuration, etc.), participating in forward thinking activities and automating. Daily reviews of systems to ensure normal maintenance functions are performing properly as well as execution of daily/weekly system health checks.


* Install, configure, and maintain VMware ESXi servers.


* Apply patches, updates, and Security Technical Implementation Guide settings on ESXi servers.


* Monitor, analyze, and optimize virtualization performance of ESXi hosts and virtual machines.


* Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft and Linux virtual machine templates.


* Troubleshoot and provide problem resolution of software issues.


* Assist with new system design, testing, and implementation.


* Research and prototype emerging technologies; utilize where applicable in addressing customer's IT needs.


* Manage and direct efforts of technical teams formed to address specific IT issues.


* Maintain ongoing awareness customer's needs and long term goals.


* Maintain network consisting of Windows 2003/2008 servers and Active Directory, Windows 7 workstations, Linux, and patch management



Requirements:

* Previous work experience in a virtualized environment (specifically, VMware) as a Windows/Linux System Administrator supporting a large Enterprise


* Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows 2003/2008, Linux/UNIX Operating Systems, and SCCM Patch Management solutions.


* 8570 requirements will be provided separately



Security Clearance:

* Must have active/current TS/SCI security clearance.
