Job Description

PURPOSE of POSITION:

The Systems Administrator installs, configures and maintains the Corporate organization's computer systems and associated peripheral equipment. The Systems Administrator maintains operating efficiency and stability, ensures the security and integrity of all systems and data and responds to outages and other issues. The Systems Administrator performs application administration activities such as creating, modifying, and deleting users, optimizing remote access, and security access for messaging systems, databases, and web applications. The Systems Administrator coordinates with department leadership to plan, design, and schedules the release of all software, hardware, and operating system updates and develops and enhances processes and technical documentation, creates back-up procedures, test plans, and reports. The Systems Administrator prioritizes and responds to requests for service and may provide escalation support to team members. The Systems Administrator is considered highly skilled and proficient in this discipline and conducts complex work important to the organization. The Systems Administrator works under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. 10%: Troubleshoot send user issues and escalates where needed.

2. 50%: Maintains current infrastructure and offers opportunities for improvement.

3. 25%: Implements new solutions as well as testing to ensure accuracy prior to roll out.

4. 15%: Monitors existing systems.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Type of Credentials/Licenses: Any of the following certifications: ITIL Foundation, MCSA, MCSE, A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA

Related Work Experience: 4-6 years

* Previous Tier 1 and 2 Windows desktop support experience.
* Knowledge of a Helpdesk ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
* Working knowledge of common Network Operating Systems, Desktop Operating Systems, Email Server Systems, Azure Cloud Operating System, Microsoft Windows Systems, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7, 10, Sever 2008/2012, 2016 operating systems
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office product capability and troubleshooting
* Working knowledge of other server-based software packages including, Win Defender, Office Administrator Center, VSphere
* Experience in a hybrid (on premises and cloud infrastructure/systems) environment
* Previous tools support for SCCM, Skype, Carbonite, VEEAM, Cisco Meraki, SevOne, ExtraHop, ServiceNow, Nextiva, Linux is a plus.
* Prior IT Enterprise Operations experience preferred. Ability to architect, integrate, implement, and maintain a wide array of infrastructure solutions.
* Work effectively both independently and in a team environment
* Demonstrate strong written and verbal communications

This position is an individual contributor and has no supervisory responsibilities. Provides functional expertise through day-to-day work tasks. Works under the supervision of management.
