LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Server Administrator for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in Chicago, IL!

The Systems Administrator will:

* Daily administration and project work across organization's IT infrastructure:
* Windows server & desktop environments supporting 700+ office & remote users across multiple sites
* VMware environment and underlying servers and storage
* Office 365 enterprise applications
* Additional SaaS providers


* Perform backup & patching tasks
* Automate common tasks via PowerShell
* Monitor system performance and alerts
* Document issues and related solutions
* Perform networking and firewall administration
* Escalate for internal support team
* Administer user accounts in Active Directory, utilizing Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
* Support IT Infrastructure operations including troubleshooting and maintenance of servers, networks, and systems as required.
* Augment Tier III Support as needed

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in a technology related field
* 4+ years of Server & Network Administration experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Server Administration
* Proficiency in Active Directory administration, including Group Policies (GPO's)
* Experience in Network Administration (DHCP, DNS, VLANs)

Experience maintaining routers, switches, and firewalls
* Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMWare, HyperV) administration
* Experience with Microsoft Exchange Administration
* Experience with automating tasks with PowerShell
* Experience with protection tools such as antivirus, email security, and monitoring
* Experience with administrating technology in an Office 365 environment
