Bell is seeking a System of Systems Engineer to support the development of future commercial and military areal systems. This Engineer is responsible for developing concepts of operation (CONOPS) and system of system (SoS) functional architectures for future manned, unmanned and optional piloted military and civil air vehicles. The engineer will be part of a diverse team charged with executing high visibility activities in a fast paced and dynamic environment that supports new business opportunities, which include but not limited to; On Demand Mobility and Future Vertical Lift Programs. This position is located at Bell's headquarters in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Position Responsibilities:

* Develop, mature and maintain CONOPS and system of system functional architectures for future aviation systems and business opportunities.
* Review fielded and development aviation system program capabilities documentation to define and manage SoS-level and System-level functional architectures, requirements, and interfaces.
* Coordinate with Business Development, Program Management, Chief Engineers and Customers to ensure aviation system requirements and sub-systems satisfy business opportunity needs.
* Coordinate sub-system requirements with Integrated Product Teams to ensure product designs satisfy aviation system requirements.
* Develop, mature and maintain a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) framework
* Work in an integrated product team (IPT) environment to develop verification plans for systems of systems including; Air Vehicle, Mission Systems, Ground Control Systems and their respective sub-systems.

Education Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace or Systems Engineering is required.
* Master's degree in a related technical discipline is a plus.

Position Requirements:

* At least 5 years of experience in System of Systems architecture and functional modeling related to aviation
* Systems Engineering experience (requirements definition, decomposition, allocation and/or verification)
* Technical experience in Avionics, Flight Control Systems, Communications and/or Mission Systems
* Experience using CAMEO or similar MBSE tool to support aviation system architecture and requirements development
* Experience in the design, development, test, manufacture and operation of aviation systems
* Knowledge of aircraft flight characteristics and aircraft systems functionality
* Knowledge of sub-system interface requirements definition and management
* Knowledge of integrated theatre communication concepts and interface requirements
* Knowledge of manned, unmanned and optionally piloted layered control concepts
* Knowledge of military and commercial MBSE frameworks (DoDAF, UAF, MagicGrid, etc.)
* Proficiency with AGI STK Systems Tool Kit
* Must have the ability to communicate efficiently and coordinate Systems Engineering activities and report status.
* Must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers
* Proficiency in SysML
* Familiarity with AADL, UML, and/or software programming constructs and methods a plus
* PC proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook
* Good interpersonal and organizational skills
* Must have the ability to receive a Secret Security
