System/Migration Engineer

Job Description

Looking for a System engineer with comprehensive VMWare experience. This person will perform server and storage migrations, virtual machine migrations and configurations. You will also be installing agents on servers and configuring server hardware and Windows operating systems.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

* 8 years experience in infrastructure projects

Required Skills

* Experience on windows NT, 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016 server operating systems Advanced level
* VCenter ESX and VM Migrations - Advanced level
* Server management experience on DMZ server environment - Intermediate knowledge
* Experience on Test, Development and Production environments - Basic knowledge
* Agent installations: SCCM, Sophos, Monitoring tools - Intermediate level
* Storage configuration and migration (SAN, NAS) - Intermediate knowledge
* Active Directory - Advance knowledge
* Dell Server Configuration - basic knowledge
* Powershell Scripting - Advanced knowledge
* Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure issues including network - Advanced Knowledge
* Working with SharePoint libraries
* Network switch configuration
* Solarwinds monitoring software

Skills - Nice to have

* Working with SharePoint libraries
* Network switch configuration
* Solarwinds monitoring software
* Knowledge of Linux: RedHat, Ubuntu, and SUSI Linux - enough to install packages, change network info (i.e. default gateway)
