System Engineer (Windows)

NantHealth is looking for a System Engineer whose primary focus will be who will be responsible for helping support the AD environment. This candidate will provide support, implementation, and consulting services for Microsoft Active Directory systems across the enterprise. He/she will work collaboratively with the wider NantHealth business to understand the requirements and strategic initiatives, ensuring the compute platform can support and scale to the business needs. This position offers the opportunity to explore and grow technical skills across a full stack of technologies. Under limited supervision, the candidate will perform at the highest level of systems administration and problem determination required to support large, complex implementation of Active Directory. As part of a collaborative team, you will be empowered to make decisions and act on the design principles outlined for delivery.

The Basics

* Design, implement and support the Active Directory platform and services
* Design, implement, and support Group Policies
* Design, implement and support Policy Key Infrastructure (PKI) environment
* Administer DNS and DHCP
* Administer cross-forest trusts
* Support upgrades and lifecycle management of AD-related software and tools
* Improve AD processes and automate repetitive tasks wherever feasible.
* Fulfill service requests and resolve incidents related to Directory Services
* Consult with engineers in support of applications and other services that utilize Active Directory. Provide recommendations on best practices for integration.
* Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps
* Assists in the reporting of data security incidents and may support investigations as required.

* Disaster Recovery Policy, Design, and Planning
* Advanced knowledge of systems and outcomes with ability to understand impact of solution design and implementation of business strategic objectives and requirements.
* Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to translate technology-related jargon to diverse groups of technical and non-technical users, including C-level staff.
* Excellent written communication skills with ability to develop technical documents.
* Self-motivation with ability to perform quality work within deadlines and budget with or without direct supervision.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a systems engineer or consultant.
* Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision making skill.

What You Bring

* 5+ years with Windows Active Directory engineering and administration
* 5+ years with Windows DNS and DHCP services
* 5+ years with Cross Forest integrations on a large scale networks
* 3+ years with SCCM or alternative patch management solution
* Experience in extended Windows services such as Remote Desktop Services, Policy Key Infrastructure
* Experience in Linux / AD integration solutions
* Familiar with Amazon Cloud Services
* Familiar with Vmware and/or other virtualization stacks
* Familiar with backend storage platforms such as NetApp, Emc, or other enterprise storage solution
* Scripting experience (PowerShell, Perl, Python)
* Must have current experience with windows desktop technologies including; Application integration with Active Directory, Security best practices and implementation for Microsoft technologies
* Strong aptitude with the ability to participate in-depth technology discussions, articulating the business value of Microsoft Platforms solutions
