Job Description

Title: IT Systems Analyst

Description: Brown and Toland is an Independent Practice Association (IPA) committed to providing quality applications customized to support Clinical and Business operations for the network providers.

Position goals:

* Support and enhance applications used for the network Revenue Cycle and Clinical operations in HMO and PPO lines of business
* Provide support to customers for the core applications - PPO Biztalk, GE Centricity HMO Incoming claims, Eligibility and EFT/ERA

Responsibilities:

As a member of Brown & Toland Business Applications and Custom Solutions team, your job will involve:

* Research and troubleshoot operational issues in
* Troubleshooting applications and programs that interface with GE Centricity (Biztalk).
* Liaise with payers, clearinghouses, provider offices as needed to support end to end PPO operations.
* Report task updates to C-suite and provide technical guidance on process improvements.
* Secondary resource for incoming 837 HMO claims and EFT/ERA.
* Provide direct technical support and communication to Brown & Toland business departments using the core applications.
* Collaborate with other IT teams to modify and enhance existing applications.
* Performing in a team environment and mentoring others.

Education

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent coursework in a computer programming related field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering) and/or applicable military experience

Experience

* Minimum of 3 to 5 years in applications programming
* EDI know-how and working with clearing houses/health plans required
* 2-5 years Health IT industry experience preferred
* Strong understanding of SQL Server based queries and analytics preferred
* Biztalk experience preferred
* Exposure to web development and technologies ASP, PHP, Cache Server Pages
* Understanding of healthcare data interchange standards - EDI, HL7
* Exposure to On-premise and cloud document management system like Sharepoint, Acquia
* Ability to adhere to a consistent coding style and document coding procedures
* Understanding the relationship between SQL queries/reports and integrity, performance, and locking
* Exceptional written and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
