Job Description

Overview

The Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting the administration of Information Technology (IT) systems, including the operation, maintenance, and support for all production and disaster recovery systems.

Responsibilities

* Manage the appropriate configuration baseline of operating systems, software applications, and security compliance, working with appropriate monitoring tools.
* Assess and interpret the logical and physical requirements of systems and applications in relation to hardware, software, and operational needs, implementing efficiencies through automation.
* Leverage scripting through PowerShell, and batch to automate processes.
* Administer and maintain Active Directory (On-Premise and Azure AD) including User and Computer objects.
* Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, software deployment, security updates and patches.
* Perform Office 365 and Exchange (On-Premise and O365) administration.
* Perform Group Policy Administration including: modifying existing Group Policy Objects, and creating and deploying new GPOs.
* Perform administration of shared folders and security permissions.
* Provide Tier III desktop support to end-users.
* Conduct desktop deployments; image and clone new client machines.
* Improve, update, and maintain overall documentation on IT infrastructure and environment.
* Investigate new technology and provide recommendations on system improvements and life cycle planning.
* Perform on-call responsibility for emergency situations, as needed.

Qualifications

* US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain the clearance level required for the position.
* 4+ years of experience implementing, configuring, and maintaining Windows-based operating systems and infrastructure.
* Proficiency with Windows 7, 10 and Server 2008, 2012, and 2016 operating systems.
* Programming experience, preferably with PowerShell.
* Experience with VMWare ESXi and MS SQL Server.
* Basic network experience.
* Ability to independently resolve varying issues using internal and external resources.
* Strong organizational and analytical skills.
* Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Excellent customer service.
