STG, a wholly owned subsidiary of SOS International LLC (SOSi), is seeking a System Administrator in Arlington (Rosslyn), VA. The ideal candidate will possess experience in Windows and Linux System Administrator, working as a member of a small team performing tasks on contract for a federal government customer. The team manages a mix of Windows and Red Hat Linux servers running on VMWare at dispersed data centers. General tasks include managing hardware, deploying new servers, patch management, application deployment, storage configuration and management. Server OS must be maintained according to customer security requirements, maintaining minimum patch standards and configurations.


* Ability to establish working relations at all organizational levels. Demonstrate ability to diplomatically and effectively deal with Government officials and program office stakeholders.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP management and implementation Strong Network Operations technical support and problem-solving skills
* Solid diagramming and documentation skills
* The successful candidate must have current hands-on experience in several of the following critical technologies (or equivalent):

o Microsoft Server 2012 and later

o RedHat Linux 7.4 and later

o VMware vSphere 6.5 and later, HA, DRS

o Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies

o Microsoft Office 2010 and later

o Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager (SCCM)


* Security Clearance: Secret clearance is required.
* Education: Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or commensurate experience.
* Certifications: Microsoft, VMWare, or Linux certifications preferred, but not required.
* 6+ years of experience in System Administration.

* Strong focus and commitment to providing end user customer service
* Adept in managing to changing priorities and demanding schedules
* Adaptable to environmental factors affecting technical work place
* Ability to assist in users/workstation tasks as well as servers, including hardware infrastructure.
* Familiarity with mitigating security findings
* The candidate should be self-motivated and enthusiastic about learning new technologies.
* Have strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of explaining simple procedures in writing or verbally


* All work is performed onsite in Arlington, VA
* Possibility for alternate work schedule to provide additional coverage
* Occasional weekend requirement (once every three months) on a rotating schedule
