SUMMARY

Global Technical Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Supply Technician for the Seaport DLA contract in San Diego, California. This position serves as the primary DLA face to the industrial customer on a wide range of issues involving both DLA and no-DLA managed items and to ensure the timely processing of customer orders and customer access to product, account and order information.

* Manage Orders
* Prepares Packages for Local Purchase and Organic Manufacture
* Provides Customer Support

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Knowledge of EBS/Military Service Applications/external tools related to Order Fulfillment (including distribution system and order applications).
* Knowledge of applications related to Planning and Procurement and the ability to apply and adapt analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to perform customer support studies.
* Knowledge of customer and DLA processes, databases, organizational attitude and behavior to determine the constraints and opportunities presented by existing automated support systems and proposed customized support options.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

* No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
