Overview

Partner with the Zebra by Zebra Team to build hardware and software solutions from Zebra's portfolio into the Zebra manufacturing and logistics environments from concept to deployment. The Zebra by Zebra Team will collectively assess opportunities with the lenses of ROI, scalability, ease of integration, market growth potential, and site needs, with critical input from the Zebra by Zebra Team Systems Engineer. Once opportunities have been determined, the Systems Engineer will own the technical development and execution component. The Systems Engineer will develop a strong relationship with key operational, product, and systems teams in order to create and deploy the most fitting and high impact solution possible, factoring in all stakeholder voices. May lead technical presentations on Zebra hardware and software product integrations and the technical perspective on use cases for internal audiences.You will be working with cutting edge technologies; AI, Robotics, Machine Learning, and Automation.

Responsibilities

* Technical Responsibilities
* Designs, develops, and tests on a variety of system assignments that constitute a portion of a larger project.
* Develops and tests documentation which describes the specific system functionality.
* Participates and provides some input in project code reviews.
* Runs system tests designed by more experienced engineers.
* Reviews test results and perform root cause analyses to identify problems.
* Provides recommendations and implements solutions to complex issues. Insures compliance with quality process and standards.
* Makes changes to or upgrades existing systems. Enhances and improves existing technologies to apply to new solutions.

Non-Technical Responsibilities

* Makes and implements recommendations to immediate team to enhance performance and improve productivity.
* Seeks out new tools to analyze and solve problems.
* Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
* Receives general instructions on routine work, new projects or assignments.
* Develops a working knowledge of Zebra's Oracle ERP/WMS environment and Zebra's solutions portfolio in order to provide project input and recommendations
* Solves complex problems which may require unique solutions (e.g unique applications of existing technologies) that are used across the business in similar situations
* Leads problem resolution, identifies appropriate resources, develops contingency plans
* Works within projects of medium to high complexity; may manage several complex projects at a time, all which require unique coordination of technical resources and span multiple country geographies
* Builds productive working relationships internally and externally.



Qualifications

*

Education:
* Bachelors or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
* Work Experience (years):
* 2+ years of relevant work experience.
* Experience in systems integration is a plus
* Proficiency in integration tools including DB Links, ODBC Connectivity, SOA, and/or web service integration
* Working knowledge of Oracle ERP
* Proficiency in SQL
* Uses advanced domain / solutions knowledge to competitive advantage
* Ability to work autonomously and lead through ambiguity. Proven demonstration of decisive action and the ability to exercise independent judgment within broadly defined practices/policies in selecting approach and technique
* Ability to lead solution design, providing recommendations and direction on best practices and alterative solution options
* Skilled in the ability to bridge technical architecture and solution build discussion down to business user level

Note 15% to 25% of travel required- Domestic and/or International.
