Job Description

The Winnetka Public Schools is seeking a Summer Technology Intern for a limited 30-50 day assignment to provide support for the technology needs of the District.

JOB TITLE: Summer Technology Intern

LOCATION: Technology Office located at The Skokie School

CHARACTERISTICS: 30-45 Day Technology Assistant during the Summer

REPORTS TO: Director of Technology

DESCRIPTION

The Summer Technology Intern will prepare software, hardware, and network infrastructure for the upcoming school year.

Job Summary:

Duties include:

* Clean, prepare, and deploy desktops, laptops, iPads and Chromebooks
* Move computers and computer related equipment
* Inventory hardware, software, and network equipment
* Escalating problems to the correct channel
* Other duties as assigned by Technology Department

Qualifications:

* Experience working with technology in schools preferred
* Be fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs from the floor to table height
* Be detail-oriented in repetitive tasks
* Be able to work with minimal supervision for several hours at a time
* Have a basic understanding of computer operating systems, the internet, email, and electronic devices
* Be an effective communicator through phone, email, and in person

Working Conditions:

Beginning after July 1, 2019

End Date - determined by need and circumstance

Typically 6.5 hours perday (8:30 am to 3:30 pm)

Rate of Pay - $15.00/hour
