Position Description: Assist as level one security analyst. Assure effectiveness of administrative and technical controls. Internship will run from July to August 2019.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with tier 1 security incident response.

Troubleshoot basic technical problems with technical security controls (e.g., endpoint protection and vulnerability management platform).

Analyze findings and alerts from automated systems.

Assist in updating documentation of the local technology infrastructure.

Assist in updating inventories of software, versions and applications of desktop computers. Control additions, deletions and changes in equipment assigned to the unit.

Assist with projects as directed by the Security staff, following Turner methodology.

Maintain daily tickets to ensure the highest service levels are maintained.

Contribute to training of end users on Turner's security program.

Perform other duties as necessary.

* Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of telephone equipment, VOIP, LAN equipment, and peripheral network devices

Basic understanding of vulnerability management malware/spyware/anti-virus software phishing and other social engineering attacks

Microsoft operating system, Office 365, MS Exchange, and Microsoft Office applications

Basic understanding of fundamentals related to LAN/WAN computer environments and concepts.

Able to effectively operate in a multi-tasking environment

Currently enrolled in an accredited, college/university preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent program with a concentration on cybersecurity
