Basic Qualifications
* Qualified candidates should be highly proficient in a broad range of technologies, including object storage (Swiftstack/Caringo), NAS storage (Quobyte/Isilon), block storage (ScaleIO), and data protection (vProtect/Data Domain).
* Should have experience with software-defined massively-scalable architectures on commodity hardware in enterprise environments.
* Should have experience administering storage for virtualized environments (RHV/KVM/oVirt/Openstack), containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes/Openshift), and cloud environments (AWS).
* Should have expertise in Linux (RHEL/CentOS), and be proficient in popular scripting languages (Python/Perl/Bash).
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERTISE:
Minimum 5-7 years in field, with a deep understanding of the following:
* Architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-class storage solutions.
* Storage engineering including requirements gathering, capacity planning, security hardening, performance tuning, and audit compliance.
* Storage administration including provisioning, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
* Researching, evaluating, and testing new storage technologies to improve service and reduce cost.
* NAS storage technologies (Quobyte, Isilon).
* Object storage technologies (Swiftstack, Caringo).
* Block storage technologies (ScaleIO).
* Data protection technologies (vProtect, Data Domain).
* Open source storage technologies (GlusterFS, Ceph, Cinder).
