Job Description

Infoblox is seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join and help lead our SaaS Applications team in Tacoma, WA. As a computer scientist, you will design and develop leading edge, market disrupting SaaS cybersecurity solutions in our fast paced, high-functioning, global environment. Our applications use a container based micro service architecture and the latest technological advances. This full-time position is located in the core of downtown Tacoma where the traffic moves quickly and the water is always close by. In this location you have a wide choice of dining selections and a range of commuting options including rail, bus, car and bike.

Responsibilities:

* Develop cutting edge solutions for the control and distribution of mission critical cyber defense data
* Resolve real world issues and participate in periodic on call assignments
* Develop deep mastery of assigned coding projects and associated technologies
* Collaborate closely with various cross functional product teams
* Improve system performance and reliability continuously
* Educate and develop junior engineers

Requirements:

* 20+ years of experience developing distributed, scalable, and highly-available software platforms
* Knowledge of cloud computing in general and AWS in particular
* Deep experience in object oriented concepts and enterprise architecture
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Experience working within an Agile development environment
* Mastery of programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Python, Go
* Experience in micro services architecture and container-based software using Docker
* Superb understanding of API best practices
* Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments

* Actively share knowledge and information with other employees to enhance team productivity
* Work positively and effectively with team members; open to different viewpoints
* Possess strong oral and written communication skills

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in CS, CE or EE is required
* Masters in CS, CE, or EE is preferred
