Job Description

Description:LM RMS Manassas, Virginia facility is in search of an experienced hands-on DevOps engineer for one of our Agile programs building Acoustic Sonar systems.

The candidate's charter will involve managing inputs from multiple agile teams and preparing deliveries to the Customer.

Responsibilities include:

* Orchestrating inputs from multiple Agile development teams to form a stable deliverable baseline communication
* Developing and executing automated formal testing for this baseline
* Performing software quality analysis and corrective actions (e.g. static code analysis)
* Planning, coordination and cost-effective implementation of the Integrated Development Environment (IDE)
* Ensuring our product baseline is ready for potential deployment at the end of each Cycle (Program Increment); coordinate the details of any such deployments with the customer
* Ensuring that each Feature claimed as "Done" by a development team has been successfully integrated into the master CM branch
* Ensuring that the transition from development into operations is always seeking improvements (e.g., automating an increasing amount of the development infrastructure, more automated regression testing, etc)
* Ensuring that there is sufficient expertise for all development tools
* Ensuring that System Administration tasks are performed, including backups and coordination with information security
* Coordinates with the other Agile teams as needed

Basic Qualifications:

This engineer will be a DevOps expert with a visionary mindset to help us drive our DevOps processes forward. A successful candidate will have knowledge of Puppet, Docker, KVM, Open vSwitch, and GIT. The candidate will also be an experienced software engineer.

* Experience with Agile Frameworks; supporting programs of varying sizes and complexity
* Experience with Software Development tools
* Experience with Test Automation Framework.
* Demonstrated leadership
* Strong Systems Software Integration skills; including Linux OS, SW troubleshooting and problem resolution
* Strong SW development experience to read, debug code; Java in particular
* Integration Planning and execution
* Strong organization and estimation skills
* Strong oral and written communication skills

Desired Skills:

* Computer Science degree preferred.
* CS degree preferred.
