Role Summary:In this role, you will be responsible for configuring the new HCM Cloud solution (Workday) and provide overall application support. This role isn't for the faint-hearted … as a member of the Project Kumo team you'll disrupt, re-imagine and deploy contemporary HR practices and processes across the globe.
Essential Responsibilities:In this role, you will:
Provide overall application support for the Workday HCM system
Perform configuration, including routine break/fix support and regression testing
Ensure the system functions as designed based on the business requirements
Maintain and provide front line support for the Workday HCM application
Enhance the application based on discretionary/special projects that include Workday configuration, custom reports, business process design and testing support
Work on multiple projects and other duties as assigned
See and understand the "holistic picture" and recognize and understand any impacts to downstream systems, and hub / data warehouse
Understand and follow defined configuration standards and best practices
Understand and ensure security and data privacy standards
Demonstrate the understanding of Agile software development lifecycle and able to distinguish the core inputs and outputs in each cycle.
Engage in technical discussions; participate in technical designs and present technical ideas through white boarding
Execute in a fast pace delivery mode and focus in delivering tasks to meet the product release goal
Understand whole Workday product, its modules and the interrelationship between them while being an expert in the assigned component or module
Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques including data analysis to provide unique solutions to our customers' individual needs
Work directly with service architects to help reproduce and resolve customer issues
Drive customer communication during critical events and lead retrospective meetings
Drive projects that improve support-related processes and our customers' technical support experience with minimal guidance
Work on critical, highly complex customer problems that may span multiple services
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and work with global teams
Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members
Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in the technology space with emphasis on cloud/online service operations or SaaS/PaaS Technical Support or Application Support OR Master's degree with 4 years of experience in the technology space with emphasis on cloud/online service operations or SaaS/PaaS Technical Support or Application Support, OR the equivalent combination of training and work experience
4+ years experience with HR applications such as PeopleSoft, SAP, and Oracle or other third-party software products
Desired Characteristics:Ability to work and coordinate effectively with Digital Technology Leads, HR COE Leads, and Security teams
Experience with Digital Technology applications, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing and implementation
Experience with functional aspects of HR
Ability to prioritize workload and execute tasks independently, providing timely follow-up and resolution
Highly self-motivated and detail oriented
Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively interact with team members and leadership
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Uncompromising commitment to customer satisfaction
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle both planned and unplanned responsibilities
Excellent communicator, works well in a team environment, and welcomes challenges
Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment

Workday HCM experience or training preferred
