Job Description

Responsible for leading and guiding staff in developing, testing and implementing websites and custom application. Assists with technical supports, as necessary.

* Provides project leadership to team in all stages of development from initial architecture to implementation.
* Leads gathering and document functional and technical requirements for development projects.
* Works with the User Experience and Design team to ensure technical requirements and implementation are within guidelines.
* Collaborates with team on builds and maintaining client facing websites and web applications targeted for patients, patient families, and health care professionals.
* Leads initial testing and initiates end-to-end testing and validation with the end users.
* Provides technical insight to the user experience and creative teams on client-facing and internal wireframe and composition projects.
* Researches new technologies to help strengthen the technical capabilities of the digital team.
* Oversees the updating and maintaining of websites and applications including enhancements, bug fixes, and software patches.
* Adhere to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards, allow for effective Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and make use of HTML5 standards.
* Provides leadership and guidance to production support as needed.
* Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Communications or related field, required.


* Minimum of five (5) years experience in web site development required.


* Strong knowledge and experience with PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, as well as JavaScript Libraries (e.g. JQuery), PHP MVC Frameworks (e.g. Yii, Zend), required.


* Strong knowledge and experience with databases, required.


* Experience managing and working in LAMP hosting environments, required.


* Experience with Drupal, WordPress or other PHP-based content
