The Sr Telecom Engineer will provide assistance in all aspects of maintaining, configuring and sustaining the Cisco VoIP network, including: network design, implementation, maintenance of existing networks, upgrading/configuration and installation of Cisco hardware. In addition, the Administrator will utilize a broad knowledge of network communications and local area network/wide area network (LAN/WAN) operations to ensure optimum configuration and operation of all related systems.

Responsibilities

* Provide leadership for evaluating, adopting, and implementing new VoIP products or services, as well as the technical resources required to manage them;
* Train and mentor engineers and other members of the telecommunications department;
* Responsible for all aspects of maintaining, configuring, and sustaining the Cisco VoIP network;
* Analyzes business requirements in order to design and implement an infrastructure solution using Cisco technologies;
* Designs, optimizes, implements and troubleshoots Cisco Unified Communication Solutions including Call Processing, Voicemail, Voice Gateways and LAN/WAN infrastructure;
* Delivers related Network Engineering services associated with the planning, deployment, installation, administration, and management of data and VoIP networks; and
* Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or other relevant field required. Other relevant education and/or experience may be substituted;
* Minimum of 10 years related experience directly responsible for the following:
* Unified Communications Manager, 9x and above;
* Unity Connection and Unity Unified Messaging (w/Exchange);
* IP Contact Center Enterprise; Genesys
* Cisco CER, Expressway
* Video telepresence MX, SX
* Cisco UCS
* Voice Gateways (analog, digital and SIP) and dial plan design;
* Quality of Service (Campus and WAN);
* Routing and switching, MPLS and QOS
* Biscom Enterprise fax solution
* Genesys Call center


* Certification Prefered: Voice Cisco Certified
* knowledge of Contact Center environment and strong project management skills.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with all levels of personnel both internally and externally; e.g. leadership, executives, clients, vendors, and agencies;
* Ability to provide support & off hours& for operational issues as required;
* Document successful implementation techniques based on industry established best practices; and
* Demonstrated strong and current technical experience of VoIP technologies, business continuity, and disaster recovery processes as they pertain to voice services.
