Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Tools & Automation Engineer PSJH to our location in Anaheim, CA or Renton, WA.

We are seeking a Senior Tools & Automation Engineer PSJH to be responsible for deploying the standardized portfolio of enterprise automation technologies across the enterprise. These services will be designed to provide measurable value to the business, producing increased data protection, reliability, increased caregiver efficiency, availability and organizational cost savings. The Automation Engineer will also be responsible for collaboratively evaluating and integrating emerging tools and automation technologies into the PSJH environment. A core expectation will be to implement and maintain engineering standards and policies related to these emerging technologies. The Automation Engineer will work collaboratively across engineering service lines in support of enterprise technology deployments, automation and innovation initiatives, and participate in re-engineering solutions for existing technology issues across the enterprise.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

* Responsible to support operational teams by serving as an escalation point for technology related issues; takes ownership to conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to remediate known issues.
* Serves as sponsor and/or owner, as appropriate, for technology projects and initiatives within areas of accountability.
* Ensures systems are engineered for optimal availability, reliability, scalability, and performance. Creates documents and refines operational processes.
* Advocates Engineering goals and commitments; understands the vision of PSJH and is able to deploy that vision through functional areas.
* Knows when to proactively communicate with leadership about issues and problems that exist in their own functional area.
* Develops effective working relationships at all organizational levels.

Required qualifications for this position include:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Business Management, Information Services, or related field of study Or equivalent educ/experience.
* 3 years Utilizing Automation Tools & Scripting within an Enterprise Environment
* 6 years IS Experience in an Enterprise Environment (Clinical IS Experience Beneficial)
* Demonstrated analytical skills
* Demonstrated problem solving skills

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

* Master's Degree Computer Sciences, Business Management, Information Services, or related field of study Or equivalent educ/experience.
* 3 years Endpoint Management / Engineering with Profile Virtualization Technologies
* 8 years IS Experience in an Enterprise Environment (Clinical IS Experience Beneficial)
* 3 years AppSense or other User Environment Manager Solution.
