The Technical Program Management team partners with Product and Engineering leaders to scope and execute sophisticated technical programs. From handling resource planning activities to communicating vertically and horizontally across the company, the team needs you to keep partners informed. We need you to own a domain area and keep an eye out for process improvements to enhance execution and efficiency of the teams involved. We have a growing set of strategic Engineering initiatives that need steering from inception to launch. That's where you come in and drive innovation for Box! This is your opportunity to work on Engineering initiatives that are key to Box growth and innovation, and therefore crucial to our success as a business. The impact of these programs will require you to coordinate between development, technical operations, product, finance, compliance, legal and security teams to name a few. You will act as strategic partner to VPs and Directors of these areas with weekly interaction and updates on execution and delivery of programs you own. In this role you will be involved in shaping the strategic direction engineering is taking. You will build a strong leadership foundation and develop a lot of the necessary skills to lead a team. This role will provide you all the fundamentals, relationships and impact necessary to elevate your career either through the individual contributor or managerial path.

Who you are

You are an experienced Technical Program Manager, with at least 7 years of experience in the Program Management space. You ideally have experience working with Software Architects, Site Reliability Engineers, Datacenter and Capacity team members. In this role, you will drive implementation of a new system architecture aiming to take Box's infrastructure to the next level of resiliency, scalability, cost effectiveness and flexibility.

We hope that you'll bring your unique skill sets and passions to add to the colorful dynamic of the team, while also bringing an analytical perspective to problem-solving and a love for negotiating cross-functionally and at an executive level. You have strong technical aptitude and experience in software/system design and development methodologies (including Agile).

Things change quite frequently here at Box, so an intrinsic ability to deal with ambiguity and having a flexible and adaptive mindset will be key. A passion for all things cloud is, of course, also a big advantage!
