Sr. Systems Engineer sought by Jam City, Inc. in San Francisco, CA.

Duties: Build highly available and scalable systems for mobile games. Deploy, monitor, and administer the server infrastructure that powers mobile games. Build platforms, systems, and networking infrastructure for mobile games. Write systems integration code and scripts. Develop replicable procedures to robustly deploy, monitor, and manage the game services. Oversee and operate cloud infrastructure (AWS), employing expertise in the Unix operating system running backend infrastructure. Use tools such as Ansible to write modular recipes for consistent and unsupervised deployments of system code to the company's cloud environment. Ensure smooth operation of all systems. Research, develop and implement new technologies that will expedite and simplify systems maintenance. Develop systems architectures and perform application administration, monitoring and deployment.

Requirements:

Five (5) years of systems engineering, software engineering, information technology, or related experience with: mobile game development; designing scalable systems solutions; performing systems administration, infrastructure management, and monitoring; configuring and maintaining non-relational and relational databases including Couchbase, MySQL, and Postgres; integrating and managing monitoring systems; managing a team of DevOps and SysOps engineers; and deploying automated production-grade systems using scripts.
