Job Description

Tygart is currently seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to support a Department of Justice (DoJ) organization with operational, digital collection systems. The successful candidate will be have competence in Active Directory Enterprise, VB Scripting, Cyber security, structured analysis and architectural design concepts/methodologies, and have possess knowledge of state-of-the-art concepts in open system standards (e.g., OSI, ISO, OSE, TAFIM). This position requires that the candidate have a current Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities include:

* Provides management, troubleshooting and support in the following areas: Audit Log Management, Active Directory Domain Services,; integrated DNS, centrally controlled policy management, antivirus management and deployment, windows patch management, software development, inventory management, remote assistance, call center infrastructure support, server health monitoring, server performance monitoring, network device monitoring, centrally controlled removable media security policy, and virtualized test environment.
* Works closely with security and engineering teams to complete all applicable system documentation including SSPs, as-built diagrams, and POA&Ms.
* Develops, implements, configures, and maintains security configuration policies, Government collaboration and approvals, within a Microsoft and Linux based environment.
* Supports security configuration to virtualized hosts of multi-tiered HA/Clustered applications and database.
* Assists with identifying system component requirements and program support.
* Monitors the installation, integration, and implementation of automated systems and active directory enterprise at designated field office locations.
* Provides advice and technical support to Government and engineering teams on system requirements related to security certification and accreditation of both new and existing systems, development and production environments
* Provides recommendations to the Government for system acquisitions and tutelage to junior members/staff.
* Works closely with government team personnel in supporting configuration management, risk management, issue tracking, schedule tracking, and change request management.
* Provides training to junior Contractor members/staff and technical support.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following:

* Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
* At least eight (8) years of current technical experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex networked computer systems.
* Possess knowledge of state-of-the-art concepts in open system standards (e.g., OSI, ISO, OSE, and TAFIM), design methodologies and tools such as entity relationship/dataflow diagrams and IDEF1x, object oriented principles and systems engineering practices.
* Expert-level knowledge and proficiency in the following areas: VB scripting, PowerShell, Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy objects, Microsoft Active Directory integrated DNS services, Microsoft SQL server, Nagios, McAfee enterprise products, IIS, Apache, Tomcat web servers, Microsoft Enterprise Certificate Services, VMware, ESXi, and vSphere.
* Possess a sound, technical aptitude for: Audit Log Management, Active Directory Domain Services, integrated DNS, centrally controlled policy management, antivirus management, patch management, software development, inventory management, remote assistance, server health monitoring, server performance monitoring, and network device monitoring, centrally controlled removable media security policy, and virtualized test environments.
* Demonstrated experience in systems analysis, technical writing, and the use of Visio, Word, and Excel in support of project documentation, to include SOPs.
* Recent experience defining security requirements and vulnerability patching is required.
* Microsoft server and workstation certifications are desired.
* Must be able to well under pressure, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent organizational skills.
