Job Responsibilities:

* The overall scope of this position is focused on new business opportunities that require the development of engineered solutions.
* The Sr Solution Engineering Manager will need to solve the increasing complexity of the solutions that we are being asked to develop on behalf of our customers.
* The Sr. Solution Engineering Manager will serve as a leader, mentor and source of expertise for the Solution Design Managers (SDM's) who are managing the day-to-day execution of projects.
* This position must is responsible for interacting effectively with our customers.

Job Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, Master's degree preferred. Fields of study could include Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, Systems Engineering, etc. Experience:
* Minimum of 10 years of varied experience, preferably in a 3PL/logistics / supply-chain or consulting environment.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively, and effectively lead people in the area of Solution Design Must have expertise in warehousing, transportation and broader supply chain topics, including knowledge of logistics operations, new technologies and relevant software applications inside and outside the '4 - walls'.
* Engineering and analytical skills such as AUTOCAD, Database creation, time and motion studies, network analysis, supply chain modeling,
* Must be an advanced user of tools such as Microsoft Excel and/or Access to perform complex data analysis.
* Must have advanced knowledge of the following topics: storage mediums, material handling equipment, space analysis, manpower analysis, inventory/SKU analysis, operational key performance indicators, continuous improvement initiatives, transportation methods, packaging, secondary operations, costing.
* Experience with process flow diagrams, time studies, methods/work study and/or other performance analysis methodologies.
* Experience in at least one modelling/simulation/CAD tool such as CAST, MOST and AutoCAD is desirable.
* Equivalent operations experience may be considered in lieu of modelling experience in some instances.
* Proficiency in PowerPoint and experience with customer presentations / public speaking.
* Effective communication, good organization/ time management and leadership skills Ability to handle complex problems, manage multiple projects and change management efforts Must have ability to travel up to 25% of the time within North America
