Our Consumer Computing Platforms group is actively looking for a highly motivated software engineer with a strong emphasis on testing and automation. You will join a team of seasoned Software Engineers to help us lead our software organization in the design & development of automation testing infrastructure for our next generation software from system perspective. You will need strong software engineering skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and experience in reviewing technical design and offering creative solutions around building

automation testing.

The Sr. SW Engineer in Test is responsible for working with SW QA and SW development team to facilitate and implement test automation

Your Contribution

Responsible for working with SW development team and SW QA to lead efforts in the

development of test automation capability strategy.

Leverage your technical skills to design & implement automation testing infrastructure, establish formal frameworks, suites, standards and processes,ensure reporting, evaluate and

develop new tools and processes to enable development of complex automation system test suites for our software.

Work closely with software development team to develop tools/API libraries/frameworks that facilitate automation tests

Collaborate with Product owners, QA, customer support, architects, software and firmware

engineers to understand technical system requirements, business use cases, customer issues and application performance considerations to design and develop software tools and tests to validate complex interactions of various components within our SW

Drive CI/CD from the testing perspective

Mentor & train SW staff in test automation

Define, develop and enforce automation testing standards and best practices

Periodically report testing and automation impact, value, and improvement to stakeholders

Required Skill Sets

Requirements

* BS / MS in Computer Science / Computer Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* 5+ years in software development/automation
* Familiar with software best practices, including test driven development
* Expert in Python programming
* Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) processes and tools
* Experience with Selenium Webdriver/Chromedriver (Big Plus)
* Experience with using automation tools on Windows/Mac
* Experience with WebSockets, JSON
* Service oriented attitude, with strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
* Ability to communicate highly technical concepts to non-technical individuals

Nice to have

* Experience with testing frameworks such as Robot Framework
* Experience with PyTest
* Experience with SCM and CI systems - Git, GitLab, TeamCity, Jenkins
* Experience with developing/testing human interface devices
