Senior PhP/Java Developer

Role Summary:

IQVIA, the world's leading provider of market intelligence to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, is seeking a professional with experience in open source software development. In this full time position within a burgeoning area of the company, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the world's leading brands, and have the benefit of an innovative product to achieve success in the role. The platform you will be working on supports over 50 languages, and is the most pharma-specific functionality available in social media analytics software today by any vendor. We are seeking a talented open source developer to keep our innovative product progressing. Creating new cloud services and web apps in PHP/Java, your efforts will make a tremendous impact!

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is required.
* 3-5+ years of working experience in PHP/MySQL in a UNIX / Linux environment is required.
* Experience with Java/C/C++ in a UNIX / Linux environment is definite plus.
* Very strong in algorithms, data structures and object oriented programming.
* Very strong database skills with strong SQL
* Experience in Drupal CMS and module development is a plus.
* Experience in AWS is preferred.
* Experience with or exposure to Big Data (Hadoop/YARN, Spark, Nifi, Storm, Cassandra, Solr) is a definite plus.

Responsibilities:

* Rapidly learn our technology stack and develop new components to enhance existing functionality of the current product portfolio.
* Contribute to the regular product development roadmap.
* Develop proof of concepts to support new sales opportunities and new market needs.
* Do research and development on cutting edge technologies to support the product portfolio.
* Work with implementation and product delivery teams to install, configure and integrate the technology product portfolio.
* Work with sales support teams to develop technical presentations.
* Work with offshore technical and business teams on product developments.
