JOB OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a highly qualified Sr. Software Engineer (JAVA) at Ft. Belvoir, VA. This position is pending award notification. The ideal candidate would have at least 5 years of progressive experience in application development using JAVA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Conducts or participates in multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems software using JAVA on Windows and Lynx platforms.
* Determines customer user needs
* Advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

* Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in application development using JAVA.
* Ability to obtain NACI (Active Security Clearance preferred)
* Certificate in JAVA programming desirable.

EDUCATION:

Master's Degree or other equivalent degree program in IT or Computer Science or a Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science and additional 4 years functional experience.
