Job Description

Software Engineer (application development) will engage with various levels of technical expertise and leadership spectrum to identify product development needs, identify solutions, and communicate API product related plans under the Consumer & Eligibility / Claims / Provider / Constituent Communications / Clinical / Wellness & Finance / Cross Domain delivery products. Software engineer will also develop detailed Product (API) code design documentation including API message schemas , Processing Logic, Process Flows, Aggregation, Routing, Transformation, Error Handling logic, detailed source - to - target data mapping and data transformation rules.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and expertise for cross-platform web application development. This position may also collaborate with other developers and development teams working on related administrative applications.


* To work in Basking Ridge, NJ. Architect, research, design, develop, plan, implement, and modify Restful API's using technologies like Java 1.8, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC. Spring Security,Jenkins, GitHub, Chef Server, Artifactory, Junit, Mockito, Spock.


* Write the Streaming Messages to Apache Kafka Topic using producer and consumer API's.


* Implement the Security layer on top of Restful API's using security appliances like Layer7, Kong and PingFederate. Develop the Restful API" s using Microservice Architecture.


* Develop the alert and monitoring system using tools like Splunk and ELK and Prometheus and Grafana


* Write the persistence logic against NoSQL databases like Cassandra. Develop the test strategy and test case automation using tools like Mockito, Junit and Spock.


* Deploy the applications onto open shift containers and Linux, CI / CD pipelines like GitHub, Jenkins, XlDeploy / XlRelease


* Work with project teams (business, project managers, developers, user interface designers) and ensure quality and adherence to software architecture designed for the system.


* Ensure the overall integrity of the software architecture and validate against system specification. Analyze risks and report problems in meeting system requirements


* Maintain up - to - date knowledge of all technological advances in the field of software architecture and development.


* Travel and / or relocation required.



Required Qualifications:

* 3 years of progressive software engineering experience


* 3 years engineering platforms at scale in public private clouds


* Experience working across fully automated stacks in a CI / CD ecosystem


* Agile DevOps delivery model experience
