AWS Snowball and Snowball Edge are a highly secure, petabyte-scale data transport and edge computing product that is used to collect and process terabytes or petabytes of data on customer premises and in remote locations. This award winning product has had tremendous industry response and we are growing the team. We want to grow our leadership team so are looking for Software Development Engineers like you to help us innovate and build products that will define how companies take advantage of the cloud. Our products are enabling customers who must operate in remote and networking challenged areas to easily and securely collect and process data where it is generated while taking advantage of the power of the AWS Cloud. Our appliances are highly secure, ruggedized, shippable devices that are able to survive rough handing, from commercial shipping to airdrops, they have their own weather proof shipping container with onboard sensors and an integrated display to make it easy for customers to adopt and use. The solution includes client software that runs on customer's Windows, Mac, and Linux machines, device operating system, server software, and back end services that leverage other AWS services to deliver value to customers.

The goal of our work in the hardware, software, and logistic systems design is to make edge computing and petabyte scale import simple, inexpensive, secure, and fast. Additionally we have to keep customer data secure in while being written and in transit against many potential risks.

Processing and moving large amounts of data at remote locations to the cloud quickly, securely, and cost-effectively is a huge challenge for many customers and we are eagerly looking for inventive leaders to help us complete the journey we have begun.
