The High Speed Mixed Signal team is a key technology franchise at the cutting edge of enabling the next generation of communications, entertainment and quantum computing scenarios for our customers. To maintain our leadership position, a key role is been created to establish and drive the development of a software engineering capability to unlock and accelerate new revenue streams through new product features and capabilities within the High Speed Mixed Signal team. This role requires an energetic and motivated individual with strong communication, organization, and technical skills who works well in a diverse environment and strives for excellence at all levels.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead architecture and implementation of micro-Processor based System on Chip device control, firmware and API
* Lead architecture and development of evaluation Software eco-system solution for internal and external customers to optimize technology leverage and ease of deployment
* Investigate, debug and resolve complex technical issues.
* Support your design across the entire lifecycle from design to maintenance in production systems and lead the software team to deliver high quality products and on-time delivery.
* Develop, coordinate, guide and maintain product plans.
* Create and document scalable, secure and performant designs that are easy to maintain and extend.
* Build a software development team, from internal and external talent and mentor developers for their continued growth
* Recruit, train, coach/mentor, manage and influence across business units.
* Establish engineering practices to ensure the design is correctly implemented, including code reviews and end-to-end integration and verification.
* Provide technical guidance to developers and team members on coding, testing, development and distribution\deployment of code.
* Establish, gain alignment and execute on short and long-range initiatives in support of growing software capabilities and new business models.

Qualifications

* Innovative, curious, analytical problem-solver with an interest in technology and a bias to action.
* Flexible and self-directed with a track record of delivery of leading-edge software products
* Expertise in customer focused design, system architecture and software product development.
* Familiarity with a wide range of technologies, including signal processing, algorithmic development as well as hardware and silicon product development processes is a plus.
* Experience with a variety of software development techniques (e.g. agile, lean, waterfall, spiral etc)
* Proven experience in executing system level integration of multiple software components
* Proficient in software engineering principles, frameworks and technologies.
* Experience with C, C++, assembly language, Python and other relevant programming languages for embedded environments.
* BS/MS in EE or Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualifications with 10+ years' experience with a proven track record in delivering production quality customer facing software
* Minimum 7 years development experience with 3+ years as a Software manager.
