This opening is for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to be part of our Center of Engineering and Innovation (CoEI). As a member of CoEI, you will help us create innovative technical solutions!

Position Requirements:

* BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field
* At least 8 years of experience in Software Systems Engineering with hand-on experience in Java, JavaScript, and open source technologies, such as but not limited to: Angular, Spring framework, Spring Boot, Node.js, Hibernate, etc.
* Experience in leading the creation and successful delivery of complex distributed software systems leveraging responsive web design, microservices architectures, scaffolding and ORM frameworks, etc.
* Ability to understand the big picture; effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions; research, learn, and experiment with software tools, technologies, and hardware
* Ability to think abstractly and deal with ambiguous/undefined problems
* Experience in communicating with users and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
* Proven ability to develop system architectures and detailed designs of varying complexity for customers; understanding of a broad range of data structures, algorithms, OOD principles, and design patterns
* Ability to perform design and implementation across all system tiers, including front-end user interfaces, service layers, business and domain logic, and back-end data storage platforms
* Understanding of NoSQL and Big Data technologies and platforms
* Knowledge of professional software engineering and Agile practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes automation, testing automation, etc.
* Experience in Agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe etc.
* Experience in working with self-governed agile teams
* Knowledge in DevSecOps and work with DevSecOps engineering and developers in the projects and guide them on DevSecOps pipe lines and Test Driven Development


* Must be a US Citizen; US Government security clearance or ability to obtain clearance required.

Nice to Have:

* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Experience mentoring junior software engineers
* Experience with leveraging and implementing DevSecOps, continuous exploration, continuous integration, and continuous delivery methodologies and tools
* Extensive hands-on experience with NoSQL and Big Data technologies and platforms
* Experience with containerization tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, etc.
