Job Summary

The Sr. Security Engineer (Cloud) designs, configures, administers, and monitors information security controls at Auction.com. This person will be responsible for designing, building, testing, implementing, and monitoring security tools in the Cloud.

Required Knowledge

Understanding of cloud security architecture and best-practices for AWS

Understand all phases of software development spanning design, development, deployment, and maintenance, and be able to address and mitigate security risks at all phases

Understand and be able to drive down security risk for development systems tools such as Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Git,

Knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, security protocols, cryptography, and application security.

Design and contribute heavily to network security architecture including firewalls, WAFs, network segmentation, VPC, VPNs, and DoS/DDoS mitigation

Design, secure, and drive integration of production key management systems including Vault, cloud KMS, HSM

Create solutions that enhance cloud security using available cloud controls/products, third party products, and/or custom-developed systems

Understand corporate authentication and authorization systems including AD, LDAP, Okta, Duo and how to design secure corporate systems with them

Understand corporate enterprise tools such as Microsoft Office, OWA, Box, Google Apps

Knowledge of the intricacies related to NIST, FFIEC, SOX, PCI and state privacy laws

Help out with the recruitment efforts

Education and Experience

Minimum of five years of application security and AWS / cloud experience

Bachelors in computer science or equivalent required.

Cloud certifications preferred such as AWS Security Specialist

Network certification preferred such as CCDA, CCNA, CCDP, CCIE, etc.

Security Certifications preferred from GIAC, ISC2, CompTIA such as CISSP, SSCP, CCSP, GCIH, CEH, etc.
