Can be based out of the bay area, Pasadena, CA; Corona, CA; Portland, OR.

Provides technical expertise to deliver new solutions as well as on-going product maintenance. Works with HR, IT, and vendors to contribute to the management and performance of the application, including development and production support. Responsible for identifying and documenting business processes through interviewing clients and reviewing and analyzing existing systems and processes. Articulates interrelationships and recasts business flow into system specifications. Conducts gap analyses to document discrepancies between business requirements and system capabilities. May develop project plans and ensure plan adherence. As system development progresses, may have input into reporting requirements/report development, user interfaces, and coordinates or conducts UAT and the final evaluation of the system solution. Supports the agile methodology and works with SCRUM teams as needed to ensure user stories are delivered.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Project Planning and Execution: Supports and provides technical expertise on programs and projects as assigned. Supports project teams through detailed design, product support, analysis, and reporting. Participates in project management process, including participating in project meetings. May document issues, action items, user requirements, or deliverables from project meetings. Performs a variety of project related activities, including analysis or preparation of documentation and presentations. Plans and manages initiatives, proposals, or projects, including identifying project resource needs and roles. Accomplishes all work within established methodologies and standards. Supports the agile methodology and participates in SCRUM teams as needed.


* Requirements Definition and Analysis: Collects and researches specific client requirements for projects, identifies requirements, gathers workflow data and basic system and reporting specifications, in collaboration with IT, Portfolio Managers, and functional Business analysts. Works closely with partners to ensure requirements are translated into test plans and scripts to support project needs. Helps capture and maintain use cases, user stories, test plans, and test scripts. Develops, implements, and supports common business processes and tools. Recommends basic alternatives to address problems. Assesses and manages risks to minimize impact to the overall operations and/or project. Provides functional direction in a particular area of the operation or project.
* Business User/Owner Application Support: Understands product features and roadmap. Provides 2nd and 3rd tier application support for assigned application(s). Monitors production batch and ad hoc jobs as required to ensure proper functioning and completion of business operations. Researches and resolves technical and functional issues according to defined prioritization/severity scheme, in collaboration with IT and the vendors as needed. Resolves high complexity system issues. Configures application for high complexity business requirements including fast formulas, etc. Modifies, and reviews solutions, tools, and systems. Helps maintain system configuration, e.g., creation of new codes and changes to existing codes. Conducts data load and conversation activities. Supports releases and system upgrades. Coordinates with vendors for enhancements. Influences client and gains commitment to changes required.
* Solutioning: Partner with the Portfolio team and assist with identifying potential solutions for client's business needs/problems. Provides technical expertise on cross-functional task forces as assigned and helps identify and document technical requirements, workflow, information sources and system specifications.


* Business and Process Improvement: Identifies opportunities for business or process improvement; makes associated recommendations as appropriate.


* Account Management: Manages relationships with assigned customers/internal clients. As a change agent, works to drive culture change, client communications, and related work regarding system changes, implementations, and related business process impacts.


* Strategic Planning and Implementation: Collaborates with functional/departmental team members to partner with the line business, KP-IT and ASM to define, design, and deliver on strategic solutions to meet critical business needs. Researches, analyzes, proposes and implements best practice processes and solutions.



Basic Qualifications:

Experience

Minimum twelve (12) years directly related professional experience, to include three (3) years in a consultative role required.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering/Operations Research, or related field, OR four (4) years of directly related experience required.

High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

License, Certification, Registration

Additional Requirements:

Expert knowledge of information technology and applications.

Human resources knowledge experience.

Ability to develop advanced concepts, techniques and standards in general business analysis, as well as HR principles and practices.

Expert ability in analysizing and documenting processes, methods, solutions, etc.

Strong interpretive skills to translate business processes and requirements into system specifications.

Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering/Operations Research, or related field preferred.
