Summary:

Candidate will be a senior member of the PHS Information Security and Privacy Office (ISPO) and will work with the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (Deputy CISO) to manage information security projects for Partners HealthCare. This position will act as:

* Project Manager for internal departmental and external enterprise-wide projects
* Mentor on Project Management best practices for colleagues and other team members
* Key collaborator within the Deputy CISO office

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

* The Senior Project Specialist manages multiple departmental projects focused on improving enterprise-wide projects within Partners HealthCare. The Candidate has a commanding knowledge of PMI Project and Program Management best practices. The Senior Project Specialist understands project dependencies and how to leverage resources to get greater efficiencies across projects. The Senior Project Specialist has an understanding of technology at a high level and can speak to engineers as well as project sponsors in a way that effectively communicates project topography, goals and issues.
* Project Manager for enterprise-wide projects managed out of the Information Security and Privacy Department. This resource must be able to interact and work with all levels of the organization, from C-Level Executives to junior analysts and engineers to competently execute projects within the Partners Information Security and Privacy Department
* The candidate is a mentor to colleagues and always tries to pass their knowledge and wisdom to other team members. The Senior Project Specialist is a Leader and is looked to as a Leader by their Project Sponsors and Project Teams. They understand and utilize the Project Management tools as instructed which includes MS Project Server, Project Web Access, SharePoint, Excel, Access and Visio.
* The Senior Project Specialist is an excellent negotiator and can get things done in times of crisis with tact and finesse. In addition, the Senior Project Manager continually manages resources on their activities and tasks, reviews/evaluates their work and prepares project status reports. Must know when to confer with and get advice from resources on technical and administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities and methods. Consults with and advises users and other support groups on project issues. Prepares operational cost estimates for current and proposed projects. Evaluates vendor proposals for the purchase of hardware. Participates in prioritizing projects and long-range planning for the PHS ISPO.

* Performs all other duties as assigned.
* Bachelors' degree in business, information technology or related field required. Masters' degree preferred
* 8 or more years of experience in project management, preferably within a healthcare environment
* PMP certification required
* ITIL, CISSP, CISA, Security or GSEC certifications preferred
* Strong working knowledge of Information Security preferred
* Strong working knowledge of IT required, including but not limited to Telecommunications, Networking, Storage, Cloud Computing and Application Implementation
* Experience working with high-level IT leadership on integration and security projects
* Solid background and experience working with cross-functional teams
* Advanced Microsoft Project, Project Server and Project Web Access skills
* Strong PC / Microsoft skills required (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Visio)
