The Holland America Group is currently searching for a highly motivated Sr Programmer Analyst who will be reporting directly to the Manager, Information Technology & Finance.

Responsibilities

* Responsible for the development and support of industrial application systems
* Analyzes and programs system enhancements
* Formulates and defines application/work unit scope and objectives; determine system solutions to meet business goals
* Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written and designed
* Codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs
* Project development, implementation and support
* Provides technical assistance for departmental staff and users
* Assists in developing training materials
* Analyzes and prepares reports

Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 7 years' related experience in applications programming and development, latest 5 of which must be in a development role responsible for full lifecycle project development
* Proficiency in Relational database, PL/SQL and Oracle Apex development tools
* Demonstrated UNIX and Linux skills
* Experience in Java, Network, Unix Admin or DBA a plus
* Strong written/verbal communications skills with employees, management, and customers
* Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, maintain an attention to detail and accuracy, while working in a team or group environment
