Job Description

The AmazonFresh and Prime Now businesses are looking for a talented Program Manager who can lead projects for Amazon's grocery businesses.

As a program manager, you will own the development and management of the program plans, ensuring that all activities are completed on a timely basis to the highest possible standards, ensuring perfect delivery experience with each new implementation from day one. You will have the exciting opportunity to work on one of Amazon's most ambitious and complex efforts. You will work closely with the business, operations, and technical teams on many non-standard and unique business problems and use creative-problem solving to deliver actionable output. Your work will have a direct impact on the AmazonFresh and Prime Now businesses.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role requires an individual with excellent communication and cross-functional management abilities who strives to answer business/operational questions rather than just producing numbers and who operates independently and works across functional boundaries. We are looking for someone to develop a healthy obsession to understanding our customer and the challenges unique to our fulfillment model in providing services that meet their needs. This person must also enjoy being a creative contributor and thrive in working in a start-up environment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to display your skills in the following areas:

* You own the design, development, and maintenance of plans, tools, and techniques to enable the rapid, high-quality, efficient implementation of the program
* You will create and maintain a cohesive, coordinated plan to deliver the product that meets the business priorities within budgetary and product requirements
* You collaborate and partner across the organization to develop best practices for your function and advocate for improvements in enterprise-wide tools
* You own the identification and resolution of cross-functional issues that impede schedules, and develop plans and strategies to mitigate schedule and service quality risks, documenting and escalating business concerns in the project status reports via communications with other key stakeholders
* You will ensure that business priorities and that technology and resources are aligned
* You will orchestrate the test and ramp up of the service, resulting in a successful handover of category management
* You are comfortable presenting your findings to large groups, both internally and externally
* You have an understanding and empathy for business objectives, and continually align your work with those objectives and seek to deliver business value
* You listen effectively
