* Dual-hatted position. Develops and manages R&D team configuration management program for IP-based systems and software. Develops and applies quality standards to help ensure effective pursuit of contract SLAs and to operate/establish SLA metrics and reporting. Develops and conducts related testing.
* Will establish and implement configuration management (CM) processes and procedures for a new programs and physical security systems
* Develops and applies CM and SLA quality standards in accordance with company and customer requirements.
* Designs and implements methods and procedures for testing and inspecting the quality level as well as configuration management of products (hardware and software), IP systems and Physical Security/Technical Security Systems (TSS) equipment.
* Recommends corrective action for procedural, product, or process deficiencies.
* Interfaces with customers, vendors, and various company departments to resolve problems and provide information.
* Directs configuration and quality audits.
* May provide related training.
* Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced personnel, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
* May serve as a technical team/task leader.
* Participates in special projects as required.

Education

* Degreed in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
* Masters degree preferred but lower level degree with commensurate experience and professional certifications may be subsituted at employers discretion.

Qualifications

* 10-15 years of related quality and configuration management engineering experience including a minimum 3-5 years' experience in Configuration Management (CM) for C4I systems. Will establish and implement CM processes and procedures for a new program of record.
* The Institute of Configuration Management CM2-C (CM2-Comprehensive) Certification or National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Certified Configuration and Data Specialist (CCDS) certification or equivalent SME-level credentials preferred.
* Active Secret clearance.
