Position Summary:

The Senior Network VoIP Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, build, and 24x7 support of the Reyes Holdings global Cisco Voice over IP infrastructure including CUCM, Unity, CER, and UCCX supporting 70+ locations and 3 major contact centers. The candidate will develop, document, and implement best practices and standards. The candidate will work on multiple projects acting as a project leader on issues of high complexity that require in-depth knowledge of multiple technical areas. Will coach and mentor more junior technical staff.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Support and Maintenance:

o Ensure timely resolution of all tickets

o Participate in the current incident, problem, and change control processes

o Enable and drive continuous improvement through the IT Service Center & Managed Service partners

o Develop and oversee the adherence to maintenance and performance standards of data, voice or video network hardware and systems

o Troubleshoot highly complex data, voice or video network and hardware problems

o Perform capacity planning through the ongoing monitoring, alerting, and reporting of resource utilization levels and errors in the environment using a variety of tools and processes

o Implement and maintain network security best practices by assessing current threats, vulnerabilities, risks, and associated technical countermeasures

o Maintain inventories for support and maintenance per location by working with our selected vendor

o Build, maintain, and audit all voice network related documentation as it relates to configuration, processes, service records, asset inventories, topologies, administration manuals, job instructions, support contacts, etc.

o Develop voice network monitoring and management solutions to proactively monitoring voice and video network performance, and troubleshooting problems

o Execute work through others

Strategy & Planning:

o Develop a unified Communication strategy

o Plan, design, and optimize high-level voice, video and network solutions

o Perform network readiness and telephony assessments

o Perform analysis & trending of utilization and growth providing a proactive design based on the demands of the business

o Translate business requirements into telephony or process designs

o Plans and recommends telephony solutions

o Assist in the planning & design of the IP voice network

o Approve and modify the design to ensure compliance

o Analyze technical needs, requirements, and state of the network's infrastructure design, integration, and operations

o Provide knowledge transfer and detailed design/operational documentation to clients

o Other projects or duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

* Minimum of 5 years of related IP telephony design / implementation experience including some of the following: Cisco Unified Communications Manager/Call Manager, Cisco Unity/Unity Connection, Cisco Contact Center Express (UCCX), Cisco Unified Meeting Place, Cisco Unified Presence, Cisco Emergency Responder, Cisco Unified Mobility, Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express, Video, Voice Gateways / Routers / Switches
* Minimum of 5 years proven knowledge of and experience in Unified Communications and collaboration concepts, products, technologies and solutions including voice/PBX/TDM/telephony/IPT/VoIP, messaging,the H.32X and SIP suite of standards,IP communications and protocols including TCP, UDP, RTP, SCCP, MGCP, as well as presence, instant messaging,directories, federation,etc.
* Hands-on experience with the following Cisco products: Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection Messaging, Cisco Unified Presence Server, a variety of digital and analog voice gateway products especially Cisco ISR routers, a full complement of Cisco hard and soft IP phones/endpoints
* Minimum of 1-year experience with medium to large enterprise organizations with multiple remote locations
* Minimum of 1-year experience working with application owners and other IT stakeholders to build and support the most efficient and stable networking capabilities
* Minimum of 1-year experience with 24 X 7 support leadership in conjunction with a managed service provider maintaining accountability and measurement of uptime
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree
* Cisco Certification such as CCNP, CCVP, or CCIE Voice
* Experience with Microsoft Lync and Cisco IP telephony integration
* Experience designing and supporting global scale voice solutions
* Experience with backup systems and Disaster Recovery methods for both CUCM and Unity Connection Servers
* Solid experience with LAN/WAN technologies and QOS design & implementation.
* Extensive experience with CUCM, dial plans, call features, media resources
* Solid knowledge of voice protocols such as SIP, H323, MGCP, SCCP. Current knowledge/understanding of SRST, MPLS, DMVPN, IPSEC and WAN.

Education:

High School diploma (or equivalent) required
