Job Summary

This position is responsible for helping users achieve optimum use of the network systems by performing needs analysis, installation, training and problem resolution. Additional responsibilities include configuration, operation, and administration of network hardware, operating systems and communication links as well as recommending appropriate tools and solutions.

Essential Functions

* Lead, mentor, and develop Network Engineers from a technical perspective
* Engineer, design, integrate, test and manage network architecture consistent with the technology strategy in meeting the informational access needs of the Company
* Research network technology and monitor performance to ensure operating effectiveness in delivering information and controlling costs
* Design, configure, maintain and manage network access security and data integrity in compliance with the organization's security policy; add and delete users as required on network servers and applications
* Analyze users' needs and recommend appropriate network configuration to meet user and departmental standards
* Analyze, recommend and evaluate new hardware, software and communications products for network compatibility and applicability
* Develop system standards, short and long-term goals, project management and strategic decisions
* Partner with other technology departments to ensure that all information security requirements have been met on the systems under the Administrator's control
* Participate on or acts as a partner on a Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) that responds to various security incidents such as denial of service attacks, virus infestations, and internal frauds
* Conducting changes to UCCX scripts as required by the organization, partnering with and managing third party vendor relationship as needed
* Providing training and mentoring to technical support team with VoIP troubleshooting, upgrading and overall knowledge
* Monitoring SIP circuit usage and trunk capacity levels to ensure members are being routed to the appropriate places in a timely and accurate manner
* Periodically attend technical training classes and conferences to augment knowledge regarding information systems matters
* Manage projects in accordance with established budgets and schedules
* Other duties as assigned or required

Job Requirements

* High school diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred
* Minimum of 10 years related network experience, including administration of LAN/WAN architecture within a client/server environment.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in Networking in the TCP/IP LAN/WAN (MPLS, BGP and SIP) and Cisco Wireless environment
* Minimum 5 years of experience in implementing/supporting VoIP technologies (Cisco Unified Communications Manager....also known as Call Manager) is highly desired
* CCNP/CCIE certification or equivalent experience
* In depth experience with UCCX scripting (script changes)
* In-depth knowledge with Cisco CUCM, UCS, UCCX, Unity Voice Messaging Systems, and Cisco router
* Networking system concepts with knowledge in the following: multiservice/network design; LAN/WAN protocols such as MPLS, BGP and SIP; network tools such as protocol analyzers; network security
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with various levels within the organization
* Ability to demonstrate excellent detail orientation, critical thinking and analytical skills
* Ability to deploy solutions in large scale environments
* Demonstrated judgment and decision-making ability
* Displays excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
* Strong customer service orientation
* Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
* Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
