Overview

WorldVentures is seeking a Sr. Developer to join our growing Technology team and build out the next generation of our platform. The ideal candidate is a hands-on platform builder with at least 7-years' experience in developing scalable software solutions in an Agile environment. Your duties will primarily revolve around building software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces. You will also be involved in system testing and validation procedures, and also working with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance. As a Sr. Developer, you will also participate in code review, assist in mentorship of more junior team-members and providing input on project deliverable timelines during the sprint cycle.

Responsibilities

* Produce clean, efficient code based on internal customers specifications
* Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
* Integrate software components and third-party programs to meet specifications
* Reliability and proficiency in verifying and deploying programs and systems
* Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
* Consulting with departments or customers on project status and proposals.
* Working with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.
* Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
* Test software development methodology in an agile environment.
* Participate in code reviews
* Provide input of development timeline
* Will assist in mentoring more junior team members

Qualifications

* BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
* 7+ years experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
* Solid knowledge of coding languages of C#, ASP.Net, SQL, UI framework(s)
* Strong working knowledge of Agile development methodologies
* Ability and willingness to learn new languages and technologies
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude coupled with focus and follow-through
* Collaborative mindset and willingness to recommend and execute improvements
* Commitment to optimization and accountability evident in creating technical documentation for reference and reporting
* Excellent communication skills needed to gather and evaluate user feedback
