The Role:
Manage the team responsible for defining and modeling of Project Kuiper's wireless communication systems from customer end points to terrestrial gateways via Low Earth Orbit satellites.
This is a unique opportunity to define a groundbreaking, high-throughput wireless solution with few legacy constraints. The team works with customer requirements and wireless implementation teams to define the (i) throughput / availability of network resources, (ii) assignment of resources to each customer area, (iii) coordination of spectrum with regulatory organizations and other users of the spectrum, (iv) optimization of link budgets and system trade-offs, and (v) top level architectural documents for wireless system used by implementation groups.
In this role you will:
* Work within a team and take responsibility for high bandwidth wireless system architecture * Create documentation for technical-focused aspects of regulatory filings and help coordinate spectrum with other systems * Drive trade-off analysis to benefit customer experience and optimization of resources (costs, power, spectrum) * Work closely with implementation teams to evaluate and simulate expected system level performance and provide quick feedback on potential improvements * Work closely with implementation teams to determine external technology suppliers * Be a key person to represent the wireless systems capabilities to management, internal teams, and third party suppliers
