The Enterprise Information Services (EIS) team at Cedars-Sinai understands that true clinical transformation and the optimization of a clinical information systems implementation is fueled through the alignment of the right people, processes and technologies. Right now, our EIS team is looking for a full time Sr. Engineer (specializing in Citrix).

Summary:

Responsible for a broad variety of technical administration, engineering, and support for Health Systems information systems, enterprise applications and associated infrastructure.

* Provides technical expertise and direct support for the planning, coordination, upgrade, enhancement and implementation of computer systems and infrastructure/application software.
* Ensures stable performance through performance monitoring and tuning.
* Performs capacity planning, workload modeling, and prediction of resource needs, ensures timely system maintenance, plans and implements major software and hardware upgrades, ensuring change management procedures and methodologies are implemented and followed.
* Participates in the development and implementation of technical standards, policies, and procedures.
* Works as a liaison with contractors and vendors as needed.
* Works independently or as a member of interdisciplinary teams on complex projects.
* Serves as a mentor for other technical staff and provides technical consultation, guidance, and support as needed to operational and technical staff.

Experience and skills:

* Minimum 5 years of practical experience in supporting Windows systems experience
* At least 5 years of practical experience designing and architecting a Citrix XenApp Environment
* Strong knowledge in core Microsoft technologies and platforms: Windows Server 2008 R2/2012, Active Directory, Group policy, IIS, DNS, DHCP, SQL Server
* Strong knowledge of Citrix Provisioning server and Machine Creation Services
* Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere or other hypervisor platforms a plus
* Experience architecting and deploying virtual desktop infrastructure
* Experience with F5 and/or Citrix Load Balancers a plus
* Advanced scripting and automation skills
* Expertise with a variety of server/systems monitoring, analysis, management, and configuration tools.
* Able to solve problems independently, quickly, and completely and communicate them clearly to upper management.
* Strong project management and interpersonal skills; able to deal effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities, provide strong team leadership, and work effectively as a team player.
* Highly organized with a proven ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, manage several complex projects at one time, and utilize time effectively for staff and self.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering; equivalent combination of education and work experience is acceptable.

License/Certification Requirements:

* Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization(CCA-V) certification required.
* Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V) or Citrix Certified Expert -Virtualization (CCE-V) certifications preferred
