Job Responsibilities

Synaptics is currently seeking a Senior Embedded Audio Firmware Engineer with a strong background in embedded FW and audio processing. We need experienced person that can pick up new knowledge quickly. A strong knowledge of C programing is required. The ideal candidate needs to have experience with voice processing and should have experience working with DSP processors. The candidate must have good communication skills and must be able to work in collaborative environment. Experience with scripting languages, Makefiles, and customer support, is desirable.

Required Qualifications

* B.S./M.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
* Minimum 3 years of extensive firmware or audio experience
* 5+ years of software development experience
* Strong knowledge of C programing
* Good knowledge in signal processing fundamentals
* Experience with voice or audio processing
* Experience working with DSP processors
* Experience with USB audio is desirable
* Candidate must be highly motivated and have strong written and verbal communication skills
* Expertise in scripting languages, Makefiles, and customer support, is desirable
