What you'll do:

* Work as an integrated member of the dev team to incorporate effective, cost effect and scalable automation into the greenfield engineering efforts.
* Use your background in Dev/Ops to drive new technologies and processes growing productivity.
* Evaluate and improve deployed environments using your expertise in security, networking, public cloud platforms.
* Automate and measure everything that matters on the platform. Make decisions to decide the focus of future work.
* Work with teams around the world to prevent problems before they arise. Your expertise in automation / data collection will help bring ingenious solutions to the teams.

Required Competencies:

* A deep understanding of distributed systems as it relates to customer facing applications in the cloud.
* Technical leadership experience of 5-8 years
* Experience with cloud based infrastructure and services such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
* Understanding of CD/CI methodologies and how they work.
* Experience in orchestration platforms (e.g. Jenkins).
* Experience in configuration management (e.g. salt, ansible, chef).
* Experience with third-party monitoring and logging services (e.g. Cloudwatch and Kibana).
* Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, k8s, ECS).
* Proven development and scripting background (e.g. bash, python).
* Good knowledge of Linux/Unix Operating Systems.
* Understanding of basic level 3networking and network security.
* Masters or Bachelors in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).

Bonus round:

* Experience with operations of Java apps.
* Mongo DB and Postgres or MySQL.
* AppD, NewReclic, Dyatrace, Nagios, or Zabbix experience.
