Job Description

The Role:

The Sr. Database Architect is responsible for designing and delivering solutions in the areas of database management and administration. Will be working closely with the Data & Insights team to identify future needs and requirements.

* Involved in Monitoring, Administration of application and database related to E-business suite R12


* Analyze structural requirements for new software and applications


* Migrate data from legacy systems to cloud Architecture (e.g. Snowflake,Denodo,Pentaho)


* Knowledge in handling Enterprise reporting tools like OBIEE and Noetix


* Familiarity with data visualization tools(e.g. Tableau)Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts


* Optimize current database systems and new cloud base database


* Define security and backup procedures


* Coordinate with the Data & Insights team to identify future needs and requirements


* Experience with trouble shooting production issues, conduct root cause analysis and make recommendations for improvement.


* Experience in Big Data platforms like Hadoop and its eco-system


* Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements


* Firm understanding of Programming/ scripting languages like Python



Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:

* Experience in database design, solution/architecture of features, development, performance tuning, and managing scalability of databases


* Experience with Performance tuning of Oracle Databases/MSSQL/Mysql databases


* Experience in managing advanced databases for large scale enterprise applications built to support multi tenancy


* Experience in Big Data platforms like Hadoop and its eco-system


* Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements


* Firm understanding of Programming/ scripting languages like Python



In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include:

* Familiarity with data visualization tools(e.g. Tableau)Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts


* Knowledge of Opensource databases is a plus


* Experience with Oracle Applications R12


* Experience with NoSQL database technologies


* Experience with Containers & Microservices is a plus



Education:

* Graduation in Computer Science
