Job Description

Alphanumeric is hiring a Sr. Cloud Engineer to work onsite in Lincolnshire, IL.

Advanced technical knowledge and hands-on experience migrating big projects from on-premises data center to AWS, as well as migrating between untrusted AWS accounts is required.

The Sr. Cloud Engineer is responsible for engineering, implementing, and supporting IaaS and PaaS in secure and highly available computing platforms, both on premises and in the cloud (AWS). This includes expert technical assistance in resolving complex issues, installation, maintenance, upgrades, and related configuration tasks in the cloud.

Day to day responsibilities involve:

* Understanding scope, timelines, objectives and overall direction of migration project.
* Working closely with other engineers to recommend and design solutions that effectively reflect our clients' business needs, security, and service level requirements
* Deploy and configure cloud services according to the best practices (e.g. Lambda, EC
* , VPC, RDS, IAM, CloudFront, Route53, CloudWatch, KMS, Redshift, S3, Kinesis).
* Contribute to frameworks, develop reusable solutions, and mentor internal and external stakeholders on the use of the solutions.
* Utilize understanding of DevOps and software engineering best practices to influence design and implementation approaches and solutions.
* Participate in the software development life cycle to ensure sound Cloud solutions are implemented
* Implement Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible
