The Vertical Ad Products (VAP) program and business intelligence team provides internal and external customers with scalable performance and data solutions that drive revenue across Multichannel Advertising. We create performance products using machine learning algorithms to manage campaign performance and dive into Amazon's breadth of data to produce unique client insights. To do this, we coordinate with internal teams and access large new datasets across Amazon to inform our analysis. We interpret a variety of inputs and convert them into meaningful product features.
We consider our BIE's owners of the data to which they can propose, own, and then deliver on new product ideas. It is not uncommon for our BIE's to present product vision or internal press release documents. This all leads to an individual who is responsible for producing insights that shape effective strategies to better meet our customers' needs.
We are looking for someone with the right balance of business intelligence and business management. Success is tied to the ability to go deep on the data and bring the right components to surface for review. Our team moves fast so we need a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity in an ever-changing environment.
* Interface with business owners to gather requirements and deliver reports or analysis to solve business problems. * Analyze business information, and uncover trends and correlations to develop insights that materially improve our product and strategy decisions. * Use machine learning, data mining and statistical techniques to create new, scalable solutions for business problems. * Interpret and communicate results to the stakeholders. * Make large and/or complex data more accessible, understandable and usable by implementing advanced BI dashboards and applications. * Own the design, development, and maintenance of metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions * Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for tracking and reporting on progress of initiatives. * Active participation in strategic and tactical planning discussions. * Design, implement, and support a platform providing ad hoc access to large datasets. * Provide clear communication for recommended actions.
